Lazy Days Campground was built in 2013. Each of the 16 campsites has its own water, sewage, and both 30 & 50 amp outlets.
Lazy Days Campground has a large handicap accessible bathhouse. The bathhouse has 6 showers and 6 toilets.
Lazy Days Campground is located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Albemarle Sound and across the street from the two largest Water Sports Companies on Hatteras Island.
Many local seafood restaurants are within walking distance. Salvo is home to several coffee shops, a deli, casual dining locations, and great pizza shops!
Our beautiful beaches are the perfect place to soak up some sun and relax!
There is beach access for Surfing and Surf Cast Fishing-you could not ask for a better location.
30 minutes North of Salvo is Historic Manteo with Waterfront Shops, The Lost Colony, Elizabethan Gardens, and the NC Aquarium. Head up HWY 12 to Jockeys Ridge State park for Hang Gliding, Kite Flying, and the Wright Brother's National Memorial.
Spanning 13 miles on Hatteras Island, the US Fish and Wildlife Service estimate the wildlife refuge is home to 365 species of birds, 25 species of mammals, 24 species of reptiles, and 5 different kinds of amphibians.

30 minutes South of Salvo you can explore the Hatteras Island Light House and the NC Maritime Museum. You can even hop on the Ocracoke Ferry to explore boutique shopping, secluded beaches, and delicious food on Ocracoke Island.
